The Carmagnola pepper, the square of Asti, horn Ox, one Dutch, one giant ... but there are many peppers? Some say almost thirty. Very different shapes and sizes, some other hottest sweetest of all varieties can be grouped into two basic varieties: the square-extended. Still green when unripe, yellow or red when fully ripe. But the color does not correspond to a different taste and often are chosen only for aesthetics. In Italy in fact the ones that are easier on the market are mostly sweet. If peppers are good for almost all varieties, the most rounded peppers are preferred "Dutch" if we fill them, while the fleshy and large if you prefer to roast them. Summer vegetables for excellence peppers lend themselves to endless recipes: Pickled, in ratatouille, stuffed, fried and baked course. Arrived in Europe from the Americas in the sixteenth century. Today, in Italy, are cultivated almost everywhere but particularly in Basilicata (Pepper Senise IGP), in Sicily, but I like to remind those of Carmagnola in Piedmont!

Trivia: It seems that raw vit.C contain even more of citrus fruits and, of course unsuitable for those suffering from gastritis, are desirable to lower cholesterol.
